Sierra Marie Bonn
The same week I sat across a boardroom table walking a client through a rebrand, I was backstage at a pageant, giving a client a last pep talk before she walked out under the lights. That Thursday I was at my own stove, testing a new recipe on friends, because cooking is the one thing I do that has nothing to do with strategy at all. By Friday I was back in front of a mirror rehearsing a keynote for the third time. If you're wondering what I actually do, the honest answer is different depending on the day you catch me.
A decade into this work, the through-line has always been the same for me: finding the structure that helps people and ideas actually move. A background in engineering and a master's in innovation design trained me to approach that work as a systems builder first, starting with the human experience and designing outward from there. I built Let's Go Full STEAM Ahead! from a passion project into a nonprofit with its own board of directors, partnerships with Microsoft, Code.org, and Girl Scouts, and programs that have reached thousands of students.
These days, that same instinct shows up through ImpACT Consulting, where I work with organizations like Microsoft, the American Heart Association, and Sephora on strategy that doesn't ask anyone to be someone they're not. I also wrote a book, Innovators: Women in History Who Have Made Positive Contributions to STEAM, with proceeds funding a scholarship for women heading into STEAM fields, because representation mattered to me long before it became a talking point.
I'm comfortable in ambiguity, I like being trusted by people at every level of a room, and I'm most energized when operational clarity finally clears space for something real to happen. If that's the kind of work you're building too, I'd love to hear about it.
